An in indigo bearing plant which is easy to grow in temperate climates such as Canada and the US.A green, leafy plant which will grow up to 3 feet tall and produces a small pink flower.Leaves can be harvested for use in a fresh leaf indigo vat to dye gorgeous soft blues which are very colourfast.
Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost, harden off before planting out 1 foot apart.
Grows best in fertile soil and full sun - likes heat and humidity and to be kept moist.Pinching out the tips when 8 inches tall will result in a bushier plant with more leaves to harvest.
