Dyer’s chamomile, anthemis tinctoria, also known as Golden marguerite. A different chamomile from the one you use for tea, this fully yellow flower head was a traditional source of yellow dye in Europe, and also makes a cheerful garden plant, with it's daisy-like flowers.
Begin indoors 4 weeks before last frost, transplant to full sun. Does fine in poor soils, but dislikes humidity. Water well, but don’t keep too moist.
