Weld (Reseda luteola) is a leafy green biennial plant that is native to Europe and Asia and has been used as a natural dye since the first millinneum BC (!). Weld gives very bright, clear, gorgeous shades of pure yellow. It is also many natural dyer's first choice of yellow to be combined with indigo for extraordinary greens.
This dried, chopped plant material can be used at 30-40% WOF for a medium depth of shade.
