Grow your own dye garden!
Butterfly Pea - Clitoria ternetea
Our only dye plant that is not meant for use on textiles - butterfly pea is grown for use as a food dye. All parts of the plant are edible, and the flowers are used to colour drinks such as tea or foods such as rice a soft blue purple colour. The addition of an acid such as lemon shifts the colour to pink. A fun way to take your natural dyeing to the kitchen.
